Welcome to Priorat

The Priorat region, with two wine designations of origin (DOC Priorat and DO Montsant), is located in the province of Tarragona in the south of Catalonia. It is known worldwide for its high-quality wine production and stunning landscapes. These mountainous lands, bathed in the sun and caressed by the Mediterranean breeze, offer the perfect setting for the cultivation of grapes of great character and flavor.

Priorat stands out for its intense and complex red wines, made mainly with the Garnacha and Cariñena grape variety. These wines are characterized by their robust body, deep garnet color and seductive aromas of ripe fruits, spices and minerals. On the other hand, Montsant, Priorat's neighbor, also offers exceptional wines. Today discover the authentic essence of Priorat with this first day of wine tourism. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of wine with a guided tour of a winery in the prestigious DO Montsant. Learn about the production process as you tour the vineyards and winery facilities. Enjoy a wine tasting, where you can taste the most representative red and white wines from the winery.

After this experience, we invite you to delight your palate with a traditional Prioratine gastronomy menu. Savor authentic dishes made with local products and paired with select wines from the region. Enjoy the warmth and hospitality of a local restaurant, while you immerse yourself in the charm of Priorat's culinary culture.

To complete the day, we suggest visiting a winery from the prestigious Priorat DOC. Here, an expert guide will take you through the winery's facilities, while immersing you in the history and passion surrounding the wines of this qualified designation of origin. Finish this tour with an exclusive wine tasting, where you can enjoy the high-end wines that have made this wine region famous.

DO Montsant & DOQ Priorat: Visit two cellars, taste wines and olive oil and enjoy traditional Catalan cuisine with wine pairing

Breakfast at your 4* hotel.

Today you will expand your knowledge about the Priorat wine region and its two wine designations of origin. We suggest you start the day by visiting a family winery in the DO Montsant with more than 100 years of history. You will enjoy a guided walk through the vineyards before visiting the winery and tasting different DO Montsant wines, as well as olive oil with DOP Siurana.

Then we suggest you discover another DOQ Priorat winery located in a different municipality from the winery visited the previous day. After enjoying a guided tour of the winery and listening to various explanations about the Priorat DOQ, you will delight in a traditional Priorat Menu paired with different DOQ wines in a restaurant located in the heart of the winery.

Free afternoon to enjoy the incredible landscapes of Priorat at your leisure, or to optionally visit another winery.
