We head to Berguedà, where we can admire the characteristic silhouette of Pedraforca for much of the day. We will cross the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, located in an impressive mountainous barrier that joins the Pyrenees and the Pre-Pyrenees. Offering great biodiversity, this park also houses places of great beauty that will not leave mountain lovers indifferent.

We will stop in Gósol, a small mountain village that is famous for having housed the famous painter Pablo Picasso during the spring of 1906. It is said that during his stay in Gósol, Pablo Picasso made many sketches that marked the beginning of his cubist stage. Today, it is possible to visit the Picasso Center in Gósol, where most of the works imagined by the painter during his time in Gósol can be found, as well as photographies and utensils of the traditions and uses of this time.

If we like hiking, we can choose to take the Pedraforca circular route, one of the most emblematic mountains in Catalonia. This route of about 17 kilometers and 790 meters of difference in altitude offers spectacular panoramic views of the area from the four slopes of the mountain.

We will be able to recharge batteries after the effort enjoying the tasty traditional dishes of Berguedà, such as "patates emmascarades" with black sausage, black peas with bacon, or also the carved cabbage and potato.

Today is our last day in the Pyrenees. We recommend going to visit the Monastery of Santa Maria de Ripoll if you couldn't do it the day before. This important symbol of medieval Catalonia was founded in 879. Its monumental portal, known as the Stone Bible, is made up of a multitude of geometric motifs as well as several well-preserved representations of characters and plant structures.

Then, we go to the Vall de Nuria, where we will access by rack railway. This magnificent environment offers a multitude of active experiences in the middle of nature, both in summer and in winter, as it also has a ski resort. From the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Núria you can take several hiking trails, adapted to all levels or access the ski slopes during the cold season.

On the way to Olot, we can visit some captivating villages in the area, such as Beget, charming village, Sant Joan de les Fonts and its medieval bridge, or Castellfollit de la Roca, which stands on a vertical basalt wall about fifty meters high!

In the municipality of Banyoles is the Banyoles lake, the largest natural lake in the entire Iberian Peninsula, which made it a sub-site for the Barcelona Olympic Games in rowing. Qualified as "Wet Zone of International Importance", the Banyoles Lake is home to a multitude of species protected by the "Red Natrura", thus becoming an emblematic destination for ornithologists. In a study carried out in 2011 by the University of Oviedo, Banyoles was considered as the city where people lived best in all of Catalonia, analyzing aspects such as work, health, culture, the environment or education, among many others. Its unique setting is a paradise for outdoor sports lovers, as there are many routes that can be done on foot, by bicycle or rowing.

After a good breath of fresh air in the surroundings of the Banyoles Lake, we headed to Figueres, a city that is known worldwide for being the birthplace of the eccentric painter Salvador Dalí. We can discover his surrealist universe by visiting the Dalí Theatre-Museum. Considered Dalí's last great work, everything has been designed and thought out by the artist to allow the visitor to immerse himself in his fascinating universe.

The center of Figueres also offers a large open-air commercial space that extends through the historic streets of the city. It is the ideal place to take a walk in the late afternoon and discover the old church of Sant Pere and other buildings of interest, or simply to better feel the atmosphere of Figueres.
